Shizuku Hanaoka (花岡雫 Hanaoka Shizuku?) is one of the main characters in Ballroom e Youkoso and Tatara Fujita's classmate.
She is a professional ballroom dancer and the dance partner of Kiyoharu Hyoudou.
Appearance[]
Shizuku is a beautiful girl with a slim figure, mid-back length black hair and azure blue eyes.
More often than not, she's seen in her school uniform, and she wears glasses. Though, she can be seen without them when she's practicing or when dressed in ballroom attire.
Whenever Shizuku is seen in ballroom attire, her hair tied up neatly in a bun and she wears makeup. Depending on the competition, Shizuku can be seen wearing classical, high-end dresses and will often settle with white dresses for finals.
Personality[]
Shizuku possesses a proper, formal manner when conversing with others. Despite her neutral and somewhat cold exterior, she is noted to be kind and caring to people around her. It is worth mentioning that she has a strong confidence in terms of her abilities and can be dismissive of those who do not take dancing seriously, an example being when she seriously questions Tatara's genuine interest in dancing initially.
Like her partner, Kiyoharu Hyoudou, she is very goal-oriented and focused in ballroom dancing and strives to be even better by pursuing a dance career and training overseas.
Background[]
Shizuku intended to study dance abroad with Hyoudou once she graduated middle school, but it was postponed for another year. When Tatara first participates in their dance lessons, she is cold and resentful towards him, and has a serious attitude towards dancing. However she changes her attitude when she recognizes his perseverance and growing passion for the sport..[1]

Episode 1: "Welcome to Ogasawara Dance Studio", "Ogasawara Dansu Sutajio e Yōkoso" (小笠原ダンススタジオへようこそ)
Shizuku Hanaoka walks to the dance studio. After seeing Tatara with Sengoku she tries helping Tatara by demonstrating a 'hold'. Tatara tries to dance with her but runs away after realising that he was nothing like Shizuku.
Episode 2: "Kiyoharu Hyodo", "Hyōdō Kiyoharu" (兵藤清春)
Shizuku practices with her dance partner Hyodo, while Tatara watches and observes their unique choreography for Hyodo's championship competition for the Prince Misaka Cup.

- Shizuki was born in Itabashi, Tokyo.
- Her favorite food is Amaguri.
- She started dancing at 5 years old.
- She has a dress sponsor whereby she receives six dresses a year (3 for Standard, 3 for Latin), and the dresses are put up for sale after use and cleaning.
